JUNE - THE HIGHLIGHTS

1. Hanging out with my fave tiny friend.
2. Found some fields of massive daisies.
3. Obsessed over these leaves.
4. Marvelled at the wildflowers everywhere I went.
5. Stumbled upon the cutest of all the lambs.
6. Laughed as Steve’s Barometer enthusiasm reached new levels.
7. Shifted my focus back onto properly eating with my cycle again. Shout out to @arc.woman
8. The wild light after a storm that made me feel I was wearing yellow tinted glasses for about an hour.
9. A beautiful summer solstice celebration in the woods with some magical women.
10. Water, lots of water. Rivers, Lakes, Waterfalls.
11. Driving to Italy and realising we had no air con about an hour in. 9hrs with highs of 37 degrees. I bought a fan. Spoiler alert it didn’t really help. Went temporarily deaf from having the windows down the whole way. Do not recommend.
12. Discovered nail stickers thanks to the influence of @wildoracle__ Hard Recommend.
13. A surprise trip to the Opera in Rome 💕
14. Went from a bouji hotel and a night at the Opera to a holiday camp by the sea. Cicadas, pine needles, Frito misto and a cabin that reminded me of holidays as a kid.
15. Basked in the beauty, power and magic of the sun all month.
16. Laid down in Lazio (amongst other places)
17. My favourite swimming pool and my new glitter filled lilo of dreams.
18. Saw my first wild boar and some piglets!! (piglets sadly not pictured) after just hearing them snuffling about for years.
19. Feeling real smug about my tan before going to my fave spot for all the pasta and tiramisu.
20. Full Moon Worship as per.

And as always, a reminder that these are the highlights.

You may have noticed there was no flow forecast this month, my Gemini season pivot has arrived in the form of letting my flow forecast go.

I love astrology, I’ve been studying it for over 4 years now, it’s a huge part of my personal practice and will continue to inform my work, but for now, on here, I’m just going to let it slide into the sunset and shift my focus.

I increasingly struggle with this platform, the algorithm, the endless pressure to generate content, to get more likes, more followers, it feels at odds with my ethos that the people who need your medicine will find you. Yes of course you need an online presence so people can indeed track you down and I know many people love this platform and swear by it, but it’s loosing its shine for me and I want to interact with it in a different way going forward.

My intention for every post I’ve ever made on here has been sharing parts of my personal practice in the hopes it helps someone else shape theirs, alongside providing a baseline for people to see who I am.

So here’s to probably more of me and what I’m working with or doing, to sharing and hopefully inspiring in a different way.

We passed over the threshold of Beltane on the 1st of May, and in my practice this signals the ignition point of summer and thus a switch into the seasonal element of Fire. 🔥

Fire is raw power and the only element we must manage in the tangible world.

It is active.
It is alchemical.
It brings a purifying, transformative and expansive energy to the forefront of everything.
It’s an energy that you can feel within yourself and the collective.

In the season of fire we feel more alive, more carefree, more in touch with our wildness.

It speaks to our creativity and our passions, giving this season a constant intensity, much more so than the other elements.

It teaches us about control, about boundaries.

It is unpredictable, unboundaried and left unchecked it can be destructive. If we look to countries where forest fires erupt they have huge earth channels to stop the wild fires spreading, to keep it contained.

When we turn our attention to the fire within us we must do the same, temper it and control our urges to avoid figuratively ‘burning it all down’.

Farmers burn their fields so the ash regenerates the land beneath it. Where fire burns new life can begin. This applies not only literally but metaphorically, Connecting to and working with the element of fire offers us a chance to burn what not longer serves.

Fire evokes something primal within us, for a long time it was our primary source of warmth.

This warmth transmutes into joy and thus happiness. Whether that be the happiness we feel when we come in from the cold or the simple pleasure of sitting round a fire with those we love, laughing, sharing stories, tending to old friendships and new, and opening ourselves to connections.

Our need for it unites us.

Working with fire is incredibly powerful. This season is a call to the spark of what matters at the very core of your being. It is all that was and all that will be, and I urge you to let your inner fires blaze, to tend to them and let this season takeaway what no longer serves.

Just make sure your fire channels are in place so you don’t burn out. x

I love a full moon in Scorpio, it’s illuminating our hidden desires, i heard someone describe it as turning on the ‘big light’ to what you know but don’t want to see which I LOVED, and it falls smack bang on Beltane aka the initiation of Summer softening it somewhat. Yes thats right pals we have blinked and it’s summer already.

This can feel like a bit of vulnerable lunation BUT exposing the hidden whilst we’re ploughing on and putting in the work in Taurus season can lead to powerful transformations thanks to Pluto sticking his little nose in as he is square this moon. This moon will help you pave the way to get what you REALLY want from the rest of the year.

6th May : Pluto Retrograde
My fave retrograde of them all. Pluto, the transformer, its first RX in Aquarius here to guide you on the path of slow release and inner transformation. It’s a transpersonal planet so its themes unfold collectively and personally.

Ask yourself what you’re holding onto too tightly and why in relation to how you relate to others as well as yourself.

16th May : New Moon in Taurus
Keep on trucking, call in those next stages and relish in the beauty of the simple pleasures in life. Have a picnic, lie with your face in the sun, make a daisy chain and a to do list.

21st May : Gemini Season Starts
Time to get BUSY. Let the social season commence. Extroverts rejoice. Say YES, learn something new, be spontaneous, embrace new connections. Get out there and play my pretties, make sure you listen as much as you talk and embrace the pivots undoubtedly coming your way.

31st May : Full Moon in Sagittarius
Always expansive. Deal with those hidden issues in that Scorpio full moon and the world is your oyster, this moon is motivation stations.

Lean into the opportunities, ignite that sense of adventure, look at the bigger picture with a lens of optimism, release what didn’t serve in relation to this and you’ll be grand. Lilith is conjunct and Uranus is in opposition to expect to feel a bit feral, but there’s some nice Trines in there to balance it out and give you that push forwards.

Within this elemental period of Air we move through a period of emergence into a period of growth.

The snow is finally melting in my village and the first spring flowers establishing themselves as the tide turns and the warmth of the sun coaxes them from their slumber.

I have felt at odds with this, I’m still very much in a period of physical rest, feeling less depleted by the day but no where near regulated or at full strength.

I spoke of all the planets moving direct in my flow forecast earlier this month and although I can feel the spaciousness this has created, it’s energetically ALOT with the planetary party going on in Aries right now.

There’s a super intense Aries stellium going on, now Saturn and Neptune have moved in for the foreseeable, there’s 5 plus Chiron lurking and they haven’t all hung out in Aries like this since 1821.

This stellium has reinforced the driving force of Aries season. The Spring Equinox and start of Aries season is always all about the shift into ‘doing’, and just ‘being’ in these energies has left me struggling to settle, restless and at times just down right agitated.

My life feels like it is on hold and I can feel the reflections of that classic Aries lesson of patience / impatience being whispered through every move.

In someways it feels like this little planet party has created an amplified sense of urgency infused within the energies of the season itself and Mars joining the party last week created active disruption in an already volatile sea of ‘change and doing’.

If like me you’re still very much fidgeting and waiting to be let off the starting blocks, the Aries new moon tomorrow could be just what you need to carve out clarity, give yourself a kick start and make a plan.

As always a reminder that there is actually no rush, just a nudge. Each period between sabbats is an invitation and some years it takes longer than others to embody the energies that surround us, especially with the planetary madness serving up curve balls.

Growth isn’t always visible. Change is always afoot, (especially within the season of Air) and we are constantly evolving and growing even if the pace is not to our liking. x

We’re still sailing through those direct planetary waters and this is really giving me some time to get my ducks in a row so to speak and settle into the energies of this year and the solar period. I hope you’re feeling the same.

2nd April : Full Moon in Libra
This is known as the Pink Moon, named after blooming pink wildflowers. It gives BIG Spring energy, think love, fertility and above all growth. Illuminating what’s in balance and what’s not, where we’re growing and where we’re holding ourselves back. It’s there to shine a light what needs to come into bloom alongside who can support these transitions and our relationships overall. The themes of self vs others waves it’s paw due to this full moon being on the Aries / Libra axis.

17th April : New Moon in Aries
Manifestation Stations. That go getting ram offering a super powered new moon to propel you forwards. If you’ve been struggling to kick start your year this is your moment. You’ve seen what needs to come into bloom with the pink moon and now you can decisively move towards it.

20th April : Taurus Season Starts
Sweet earthy Taurus arrives to ground those ideas, slow us down and set us on the path of ploughing and seeding those fields. Expect to feel the pull back down to earth.

27th April : Uranus enters Gemini
Uranus makes it final move into Gemini after last year’s little taster. This is a huge moment collectively. I want to remind you all to be open and prepared to adapt to the shifting landscape we find ourselves in especially regarding communication. Be careful what and how much information you’re consuming, the Global Digital Revolution has arrived and with awakening comes chaos. How are we all doing? I can’t quite believe it’s April. Time continues to feel like it’s moving at warp speed.

FLOW FORECAST : SOLAR : SPRING EQUINOX

The wheel has turned and we have shifted into the solar part of the year.

For me the wheel is split into two parts the Spring Equinox to the Autumn Equinox is solar and then the subsequent period through the darker months is soul or spirit.

This is the base energetic which in turn a seasonal elemental energetic is laid over and the lunar cycle, the menstrual cycle and for some of us astrology on top. Some years certain layers will resonate more, there is no right or wrong way to live cyclically and you can slide between the layers as you wish.

What I love the most is the number of opportunities you have to begin again within this year. Nothing is fixed so to speak, you can linger if you choose but the energtics are always supportive of change, whether quickly like the lunar or menstrual cycle, seasonally via the elements or astrology, or with the wheel, the sabbats serving as thresholds or seasonal markers gently nudging you forwards. You can also simply acknowledge the move from solar to spirit.

The Equinox in my practice is when we kick into gear and start our day. If the year was a clock, it’s 6am and it’s time to get going.

With the quite frankly unhinged astrology that has guided us to this point this year EVERYTHING is now moving direct, we can no longer blame the planets. Aries season bringing fire to the elemental baseline of air. The air stoking the flames as we feel that push forward into doing motion.

So as we stand on this precipice it’s time to plant those seeds and embrace the warmth of the solar season.

I have been slow to emerge this year, my journey into the heart of earth, the deep winter months is always clear and tangible. The transition to air and the subsequent weeks that follow are different every year.

I’ve needed longer to adjust to the wildness of air this year, its essence is change and with this can come a feeling of constant re-evaluation. Sprinkle in the fire horse transition and the pivotal astrology of February I found myself retreating again. (I also got heavily snowed in which I’m sure contributed). I remained lurking close to the edge of the earthy depths from which I began to emerge from at Imbolc.

During the winter period I’d been redefining how I wanted to be of service, my offerings, my website, working out where I wanted to focus my development this year, what spaces I wanted to hold and how I was going to go about it. I was feeling ready, excited, hungry, but as I emerged it was as if I lost my thread in the wind.

March arrived, the days feeling lighter and brighter and it brought with it the most beautiful Cacao Club, I felt that thread in the tips of my fingers once more. My dreams felt like they were taking shape and then it was gone again, but this time I was propelled forwards, grasping for this thread whilst being buffeted by the winds, being pulled in directions that took me away from what I had planned.

And now, as I embrace stillness and this forced pause, as I am landing back in my body, I have simply looked down and found this thread. As if it’s just been wrapped around my ankle, waiting all along.

And as I reflect on this new moon, on the day before the wheel turns once more, my longest period of emergence to date still in process, knowing the shift that will be initiated tomorrow and the weeks after, I am seeing now that this was perhaps the most valuable time of all.

It is now with this slow and steady movement I will let the wind rush through my hair and the sun warm my face once more.

One foot in front of the other, letting the element of air do what she does best, bring change and breathe life into new ways of being and doing.

My dreams felt like they were taking shape and then it was gone again, but this time I was propelled forwards, grasping for this thread whilst being buffeted by the winds, being pulled in directions that took me away from what I had planned.

And now, as I embrace stillness and this forced pause, as I am landing back in my body, I have simply looked down and found this thread. As if it’s just been wrapped around my ankle, waiting all along.

And as I reflect on this new moon, on the day before the wheel turns once more, my longest period of emergence to date still in process, knowing the shift that will be initiated tomorrow and the weeks after, I am seeing now that this was perhaps the most valuable time of all.

It is now with this slow and steady movement I will let the wind rush through my hair and the sun warm my face once more.

One foot in front of the other, letting the element of air do what she does best, bring change and breathe life into new ways of being and doing.

Just a note to reaffirm to you all the importance of grounding and coming back to your body…

I didn’t listen to my body or to the levels of exhaustion I was feeling and I definitely didn’t listen to the knowing within me, so the universe affectionately bitch slapped me for it.

I’ve found if you really need to stop, the universe will find a way to stop you and this time it’s put me in the ultimate forced pause, a knee brace, on my sofa banned from ‘wandering about’ (direct quote from my doctor) and skiing for the remainder of the season.

The good news? It’s the Pisces New Moon tomorrow, a time to dream and call in your hearts desires and then on Friday we transition from one cycle to another, the start of the astrological new year. Aries season and the Spring Equinox.

It feels like a BIG gear shift to have the Pisces New Moon so close to the start of Aries Season. A full pendulum swing, offering a chance to start afresh, pop yourself back into alignment and start making those dreams a reality in the doing part of the year.

It’s EXPANSIVE AF.

I’ll be spending the next few days focusing on coming back into my body, creating space, looking forward to what is to come and above all releasing this story with gratitude for how it served me in the past, knowing its time has come to pass (and probably shouting BRACE BRACE totally out of context and then just pointing to my brace for the foreseeable). I always pull cards for eclipses. A card to show me what the over arching theme is. No big spreads, just one card.

My card for the solar eclipse was the 3 of Swords. It resonated deeply on so many levels with what was coming up for me. However my card for the upcoming lunar eclipse is Wheel of Fortune. DELIGHTED.

And this drew my attention back to the overarching card of the year I am yet to talk about. In the Tarot this year is a 10 year and this my friends is The Wheel of Fortune.

We don’t break the number down to 1 like in numerology as we have 22 major arcana cards to play with, and whilst we can all embrace the energy of 1 and The Magician I think it’s pertinent to listen to the lessons of The Wheel of Fortune as well.

One may resonate more than the other or you may find you feel drawn to embrace the messages of them both. There is no right or wrong.

10´s signify endings and beginnings all rolled into one, as one cycle ends another begins, and it’s about being receptive to these shifts and changes.

It’s about trust and going with the flow and it can be a challenging card in this respect, but if you can find a way to lean into it the rewards are plentiful.

It’s here. The fire horse, one of the strongest most intense Yang combinations in the entire cycle. (There are two layers to Chinese astrology which interlock to create a 60 year cycle).

The Fire Horse is Yang Fire (Heavenly Branch) on the Yang Branch of Horse (Earthly Branch), and the horse is intrinsically associated with Fire it’s as Yang as it gets.

It is elemental amplification of the highest order. There is no moderation here, nothing to balance the energy, so it’s going to be intense, fast moving and really hard to ignore.

It’s a year that’s said to reward action, courage and honesty, leaving no room for hesitation, complacency or recklessness, and whilst we’re all excited and raring to test these new versions of ourselves out in the big bad world this immediate propulsion forward into unrelenting high energy is going to feel VOLATILE.

It’s EXTREMELY important to prioritise self regulation and stay grounded.

In my practice the first of February aka Imbolc is the first whispers of Spring, and with this a shift in the seasonal elemental that holds us.

As we crossed this threshold we emerged from the rooted safe haven of the element of Earth, a haven which has held us through the darkest part of the year.

We stir from this deep hibernation and take our first sweet revitalising breaths as we move into the element of Air.

For me Air always brings with it an awakening of the body as well as the mind. Air is our life force and it’s energetic is fresh and welcome.

We have spent our time in earth rooting into our foundations so the first gusts of wind do not knock us from our feet as we step forward towards the solar part of the year.

We take these first inhales and shake the soil from our shoulders, for now we are simply catching our breath.

The lessons of Air and this season bring with it growth and sustenance. Air sustains us through breath. The first thing we do when are born is take a breath and this is what Spring is to me - the first breath of the year, filling your body, your mind and your soul with a renewed sense of vitality.

It gives the first breaths to all we have held in the winter months, our ideas, our hopes and our dreams.

The earth itself stirs, glimmers of what is to come emerge, crocuses and snowdrops, nature also takes its first breaths and prepares. There is no grand entrance, it is soft and gentle. Here when the snow thaws there is some final composting to be done, some leaves will remain to be absorbed, some final lessons to be gleaned from the past cycle as we prepare to initiate fully into the solar stage of this one with fresh eyes after time within.

Air is often associated with the mind, with knowledge, with our beliefs, it’s inspiring, exciting and it’s pure potential. After the denseness of Earth I always feel the shift, everything expands within me.

As well as inspiring and sustaining us, Air moves us. It can forge a path, it can push against you, its essence is change, constant change. We evolve through this element, allowing what is no longer needed to be blown away leaving only what we need in its wake.

1st February : We kickstarted with a Full Moon in Leo, coinciding with Imbolc. It was big and bold and I saw the full moon from my plane window which made me exceptionally happy. (If you want to read more about Imbolc look at my previous post)
 4th February : Yes that’s today, Uranus goes direct in Taurus. HELL YEAH. The change maker starts to shake the foundations once more in the final degrees of Taurus as its makes its way back to its new home in Gemini.

14th February : Saturn goes direct and is back in Aries hanging with Neptune. Remember when they started hanging out here last year? This vibe is here to stay this time.

17th February : New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius. The first of the eclipses on the Leo/Aquarius axis. Let’s call this eclipse the ‘final reckoning’ in relation to everything else going on this month.

We’re looking at ourselves, we’re looking at the collective and we’re placing ourselves where we want and need to be (whether we like it or not #eclipseszn).

17th February : Alongside said eclipse we will finally be free of the year of the Snake and the hotly anticipated year of the Fire Horse gets going, expect time to speed up to warp speed, this energy does not mess about. More musings to come.

18th February : Pisces Season starts. Dreamy times. Literally.

20th February : Saturn Conjunct Neptune at 0 degrees of Aries. Now I wouldn’t normally list a conjunction in here but this is a HUGE.

It’s a quiet but utterly monumental reset.

0 Degrees of Aries is the very beginning of the Zodiac. Saturn and Neptune are essentially opposites ; Structures vs Dreams. It’s giving clarity and a push forward to dismantle old systems which no longer serve. I’m assuming we’re all on board with this so buckle.up.

26th February : Our old pal Mercury Retrograde is back to make us slow down and take stock of what’s going on.

It’s going to be a wild and pivotal month. LET’S GO ⚡️

It was totally accidental, but it felt fitting, my first long haul trip in six years coinciding with the final week of what I see as a period of renewal. This trip has given me the strength and enthusiasm to feel into the energies of emerging much sooner than usual (the rum punch and caribbean sea helped I’m sure).

Imbolc is my favourite of all the fire festivals. It gives the promise of the new day within the liminal soul space. If we’re looking at The Wheel as a clock, it’s 3:00am, it’s not quite time to get up and in my practice it is symbolic of the beginning of Spring and the shift into the seasonal element of Air.

A threshold of potential, Imbolc is the moment where you wake and realise you have the chance to slip back into a comforting slumber, where you can still dream of what will come. Imbolc literally means ‘in the belly’ we’re still gestating but we edge ever closer to birthing what we have been holding close in the winter months.

This period between now and the Spring Equinox holds this energetic, it’s the time where all that has been held in the darkness commences its journey to fruition. It’s my favourite part of the year.

These next six weeks bring freshness, promise and the satisfaction of just that little bit more rest, the final moments of silence before the birds start to sing and we rise to greet the sun.

I invite you to utilise these final throes of soul energy, to connect with what you truly want to achieve during the solar months, to begin to emerge, to take those tentative first steps if you feel called, to explore and feel into what lies ahead before we embrace the shift into solar energies at the Spring Equinox.

As we move through the final throes of winter i find myself finally feeling into the energies of renewal.

I have been quiet on here, leaning into the rest I’ve been craving, to the wintering I have needed and last week I finally felt the shift.

I can feel the first tendrils of renewal unfurling within - I wont lie at one point this year I thought this feeling may never come - the Capricorn new moon cementing this shift within.

I have found the energies of this season reflected in my personal life, since the Winter Solstice I have received a diagnosis for a health issue that dominated 2025, and I now have a clear path ahead.

The offerings I’ve been holding are taking shape and I’m starting to feel that frisson of excitement about birthing them into the world.

I’ve also had reminders of what I’ve been rooting into becoming and what I’m leaving behind. I don’t know about you but the year of the snake has also been coming in HARD with its final lessons my side.

All these reminders, these moments, have opened me up to align further with the intentions I have been holding in the stillness of the winter months.

The excitement is beginning to bubble, we dream of what will be and of our hopes for the year ahead, it’s not quite go time but you can feel it now.

We’re moving from this place of rejuvenation, seeing our year ahead with fresh eyes, steeped in the experience of the cycles that have come before and the inner reflections of the season just passed, gently ushering us forward, encouraging us to evolve, change, and above all to thrive.

The new calendar year has begun, the shouts of ‘new year new me’ will have begun echoing around the world. An energy at total odds with the seasonal energies we are faced with.

We are officially in late winter, we have passed the midway point, the light has been reborn but still, we rest in the darkness.

I always find myself feeling quite inspired at this time of year. I’m comfortable with the darkness now, I’ve connected to it and I feel peaceful within this rooted silence. I can see the glimmers of what could be flickering ahead. I’ve embraced this slower pace despite the chaos around me.

As always we’re still taking our cues from the natural world around us. We’re not leaping into resolutions and snap changes for we’ve been nurturing these ideals all winter long, we’re slowly building on them, bit by bit.

It remains a soft and gentle existence. We are holding ourselves in this nurturing space.

The definition of nurturing is to care and protect something or someone whilst they are growing. The Latin origination of this word translates to ‘feed’ or ‘cherish’. I love the idea of cherishing myself and feeding my hopes for the year, nurturing growth both in my inner landscape and that which surrounds me.

We are in the fertile void, a dreamy time of quiet purpose where we continue to connect to our deeper intentions for the year ahead.

The Wolf moon in a few days time will really set us on the path to look ahead allowing us to frame what has been percolating, to show us how to draw on our wildness as we emerge. She will illuminate the next steps. The wolf moon emphasises our instinct and intuition and our hunger for what is to come.

Today we greet the shortest day and the longest night with the Winter Solstice aka Yule.

In my practice we are at the peak of winter, and today is a threshold which signifies the return of the sun. Yes that’s right, the nights officially start to get shorter again. That wasn’t so bad was it?

If I’m honest, this year I am yearning for just a little bit longer in this darkness. I’m not quite ready.

This is what I always remind people of when working with The Wheel, some years you’re ready and some years you’re not and both are ok.

The Wheel can just be a nudge that keeps you on track, for a Sabbat can be a celebration or just a moment to pause, take a breath and acknowledge where you are in the year.

This Solstice is even more auspicious as we had a new moon last night, the last new moon of the calendar year offering us the chance to really feel into who we want to be in this double darkness.

On my end it felt really energetically charged, like someone turned up the dial on ‘new beginnings’. It was very much a push into this new incarnation, a now or never moment. It felt like it was time to step forward, ready or not and I loved the dynamism of it. A taster of the energy that’s coming in this next solar cycle.

So as we cross this threshold we honour both the darkness and this new beginning. Rest and Renewal.

We honour the start of the slow return of the sun and this new cycle ahead.

We honour the Winter Solstice and this turn of the Wheel.

With this in mind, I invite you to contemplate what you are taking with you, and what you will leave behind.

What will you continue to gently hold during this period of rest ready for those lighter, warmer days?

Rooting into the things I need, what stabilizes me, an acknowledgment of when I need to stop, when I need to push. The slowing of my day to day pace giving these pockets of clarity.

When we move from a place of stillness, where our focus is on recovery and rest we can see those moments which fill up our cup much more clearly. When to say yes and when to say no.

It might be a practice or a routine, something that comforts us and brings us strength. It is this strength which roots us and that we can build upon this as we move through the latter stages of winter.

It could be something as simple as a bath or creeping out of bed in the darkness to meditate or stretch by candlelight, or just being in the stillness before the world wakes up.

We are listening to the wisdom that is whispered in the dark and the knowing that runs through our bones, for we all have knowledge deep within, we just need to find a way to unlock it.

There is so much noise in our everyday world and winter gives us the opportunity to consciously be in this quiet. There is no chorus of bird song to wake us, no sunlight beaming through our window first thing in the morning. Everything is later. The day is shorter. The focus is on this darkness. This fertile void. Giving us time to think about what we’re taking forwards with us across the threshold of Yule and onwards.

I read a quote the other day ‘In a world of tangible material truths, Winter is here to give us space to rediscover a realm of beautiful eternal spirit’

Everyone’s pace is different and no matter your current pace, as we edge into midwinter, the important thing is to slow it down a notch or two.

Last week the snow arrived here with full force. A clear marker that Winter is here. The mountain pass was closed, the trains were only intermittently working. Outside my window, for a few days, time stood still.

Composting has now slowed to a glacial pace. The leaves buried deep under the snow. It’s still happening but on a MUCH slower scale.

It always amazes me when the snow melts here that there are still fallen leaves underfoot in some places and that those final stages of transition occur after this elongated period of rest, as the earth wakes again and we enter the final throes of renewal.

The lesson here is the reminder that things can still be happening below the surface, even in a time of deep rest.

We can’t always be on - as someone who has suffered burn out twice I know this only too well.

We can’t constantly reflect, swirling in our own thoughts and analysis.

We must leave space for the silence and the stillness, for this is where the magic lies, the downloads, the whispers and sparks of inspiration. This is where renewal lurks.

We need this stillness, we are just conditioned to think we don’t. We need to rest like the earth does so we can embrace the return of the warmth and the flurry of activity come Spring.

Admittedly without the sharp and dramatic turn in seasons andsurrounded by the bright lights of the city it can be hard to remember this, but the ever present reminder that the earth rests lies under the blanket of elongated darkness that envelopes us no matter where we are, encouraging us to do the same.

So as we greet midwinter now we’re focusing on slowing down. We’re still seeking that earthly connection but as the nights draw in we’re prioritising rest, more yin yoga, more baths, earlier to bed with your book or your journal, a sound bath, digital detoxing.

It’s time to seek out that quiet space, the stillness and allow yourself to exhale, to be held by the infinite darkness and above all to listen. x

It always amazes me when the snow melts here that there are still fallen leaves underfoot in some places and that those final stages of transition occur after this elongated period of rest, as the earth wakes again and we enter the final throes of renewal.

The lesson here is the reminder that things can still be happening below the surface, even in a time of deep rest.

We can’t always be on - as someone who has suffered burn out twice I know this only too well.

We can’t constantly reflect, swirling in our own thoughts and analysis.

We must leave space for the silence and the stillness, for this is where the magic lies, the downloads, the whispers and sparks of inspiration. This is where renewal lurks.

We need this stillness, we are just conditioned to think we don’t. We need to rest like the earth does so we can embrace the return of the warmth and the flurry of activity come Spring.

Admittedly without the sharp and dramatic turn in seasons andsurrounded by the bright lights of the city it can be hard to remember this, but the ever present reminder that the earth rests lies under the blanket of elongated darkness that envelopes us no matter where we are, encouraging us to do the same.

So as we greet midwinter now we’re focusing on slowing down. We’re still seeking that earthly connection but as the nights draw in we’re prioritising rest, more yin yoga, more baths, earlier to bed with your book or your journal, a sound bath, digital detoxing.

It’s time to seek out that quiet space, the stillness and allow yourself to exhale, to be held by the infinite darkness and above all to listen. x

December feels quite powerful to me and in welcome news, it’s giving minimal chaos.

It’s giving you an opportunity to really settle into your new skin after the consistent shedding that has been the year of the snake.

It’s giving you a chance to look forward with a sparkle in your eye.

We kick off December with a Full Moon in Gemini. Clarity and inspiration under the illuminating pull of la luna. A cracking start to the month and an opportunity to clear up any miscommunications that might have transpired through Mercury retrograde or release any stories that linger and are ready to release. Gemini is social as well so say yes to that invite if it lights up your soul and get out there and squeeze your pals, ignite the connections that present themselves should you wish.

Neptune heads direct in the final degree of Pisces, helping you tie up those retrograde revelations in dreamy form before it heads back into Aries at the end of Jan where it will remain for the remainder of our lifetime. I’ll probably bang on about this in Jan.

And finally we say farewell to Sagittarius season with a New Moon in Sagittarius on the 20th giving us a chance to fire a final flaming arrow of inspiration off into the darkness before we greet Capricorn season and the Winter Solstice on the 21st.

My advice? Embrace December like it wants to embrace you.

LIMITING BELIEFS

We’re taking a break from my usual content to talk everyone’s favourite catch phrase ‘limiting beliefs’, aka the uncomfortable fears we disguise as truths. Don’t get me wrong some fears ARE rooted in truths, BUT some of these ‘truths’ we create to shield us, to keep us in a more comfortable space.

If you’re constantly telling yourself you’re afraid of something or that you’re not capable that story WILL solidify in you.

Last week I conquered my fear of the scaff tower, conquered the belief I can’t do anything up high by myself. I used to get vertigo, I once cried at the top of (in retrospect) a very small ladder and I am especially bad on something that feels the slightest bit unstable.

I have been spared the scaff tower as much as is humanely possible when you are two people building a house and I’ve never been on it for a ‘solo task’ because I’d convinced myself I couldn’t possibly do that BUT the back of our house needed oiling.

It’s been cutting me deep every time I’ve looked at it, it needed some UV love before the snow hits and as the more skilled of the two of us Steve had better things to do…

SO my options were
A) watch the beautiful wood fade away and hope Steve got round to it at some point.
B) get up the tower and do it myself.

I can confirm that the start of this task was deeply unpleasant. I panicked a bit. I almost cried, especially when I had to stand on the top level to paint the balcony for the first time and felt the wobble but by the end I was ok.

I’d found what worked for me, what stabilised me in this particular task (i.e gripping the balcony as I painted it) and I managed to oil the whole thing and dare I say it felt almost ok up there (and had to keep reminding myself not to get cocky and to focus because that was how accidents happen).

We’re in Scorpio season, the Scorpio New moon approaches (it’s a banger btw) we’re swimming in retrogrades and we’re letting our leaves fall.

It’s time to reflect and redirect.

Where are you holding onto a belief that’s actually holding you back?
What happens if you just do it?

Get up that tower. Flip that narrative. Use this new moon energy to switch. I believe in you. x

So over this past week we have been contemplating and (hopefully) cultivating our connection to the Earth.

Have you managed to bring a moment of connection in your day to day, or just a few days a week?

Have you noticed a shift in how you feel?

More importantly what have you noticed is going on around you?

Have you taken note of the leaves on the floor and the start of their slow turn? Noticed they don’t all fall at once, that they give the earth time?

Here the leaves fall first, slowly but surely, one by one and once those trees are bare the larch needles begin to fall.

Everything has its place, it’s time. It is considered, a process. It’s not about overloading, there is nothing ‘too much’ about this process.

This timing gives the earth space to do what it needs to do, recycling what is no longer needed and using it to create a fertile base for the future.

As we move into winter we are also internally composting, letting go of the visions and ideals that didn’t come to fruition in the harvest. Allowing the past seasons to fall around us, stripping everything back, switching our energies (where we can) from doing to just being.

Early winter is a time to start slowing down, of reflection and digestion.

We use this time to acknowledge the reasons, the why’s, the wherefores of what worked and what didn’t, so when we start to fill this space with new ideas, we are doing so from a new baseline, one where we have integrated the lessons from the past year, adding new layers to our inner landscape from which we will start to build new foundations on in the latter darker months.
It’s all part of this cycle of evolution.

My point is we must allow time for this period of digestion, to sort through, to examine, to take the nutrients to fuel ourselves for the year ahead.

So this week, think about what you’re letting go of, what you’ve learnt, the good bits you can take from it, feelings and ideas, imagine these as leaves falling from you, perhaps draw some leaves and write inside whats being composted or what you’ve learnt.

Consciously acknowledge this practice that the element of earth shows us, decay is a key component of growth. It is transition.

CACAO CLUB : WINTER RESET : EARTH

As the nights darken and we edge further into the stillness of winter, I’m holding an in-person Winter Reset Cacao Ceremony here in the Chamonix Valley on Friday 5th December.

Offering an opportunity to carve out some sacred space for yourself before the madness of the festive period and high season gets going!

This ceremony marks a slight shift in the timing and content of my offerings, bringing the ceremony’s to the beginning of each season rather than focusing on the solar festivals and the wheel.

There will still be sprinkles of seasonal wisdom to frame our minds and archetype work as always, but i’m shifting the focus into a deeper elemental connection, and allowing for a longer period of integration before the energies change.

Alongside connecting to and listening to the guidance of the Cacao Spirit we’ll be working with the element of Earth, focusing on rooting ourselves into a stable and supported foundation for the darker months ahead.

From an archetype perspective we’ll be tapping into our inner sage, and we’ll also be aligning with our true north, our guiding light.

I’m always really excited about these ceremonies but this one feels extra special.
